Overview/Description
Network security is an essential network service that spans the entire network. The scope of a network security solution is determined by organizational requirements and potential threats that are evaluated for each network component. To create a secure network, you must know which threats the network has to be protected against. This course discusses rationale for network security, including threats and risks. The course then discusses network components as potential targets and explains how risk assessment is used in a security policy.

Target Audience
Anyone wishing to obtain the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCDA) certification that validates the knowledge and skills required to successfully design Cisco converged networks. Candidates who have completed the 640-816, 640-822, or 640-802 Cisco Certified Cisco Network Associate certification exam.
